@msampsel

You can get a steel 'brush' that attaches to a reciprocating saw as well as 'chisels/scrapers' - goes through all that stuff like knife through butter.
Indispensable -.

I refrained from commenting on the caps, but I was impressed! Thanks for pointing them out! :-)

The caps on John's Libras are specific to that wheel. For the Minilites, yours look like authentic "sportsStyle" aluminum wheels. I've only seen one example of center caps:

All the others are on race cars that don't run center caps:

Your best bet is to try AKH for center caps. Carroll Shelby made some Minilite replicas and those caps may fit:

Do you know what the date code is on your wheels?

I figured they were specific to the wheel types. Might not even bother since racecars arent supposed to have stuff like centercaps that can fly off at the track.

Thats a nice Roadster :smt017 :smt064

John, they look sharp. Did you use Wheel Techniques?
When you get them mounted, please post pics in the wheel/tire thread!

I used Wheel Repair Performance in San Jose. I limited them to just remachining the outer rims/lips, with a clear coat too (not "period" but life is too short to be polishing wheels constantly). The wheels are on the car now and look great - I will post some pics from Shasta later this week.
