Yesterday I managed to do the rear brake line front to back, reinstalled my rebuilt axle, got the leafs and shackles installed, and filled and bled the rear brakes. Waiting on Dean's shipment with new u-bolts before everything gets bolted in.

I started working on rehabing my Parrish hardtop. The felt needs to be redone and the weather stripping needs to be replaced.

Starting the process for making a new set of MSD wires. I bought an unassembled 8 cylinder kit originally but had to replace a few boots and terminals along the way. Wires get dinged and cut, so, got a terminal/boot kit to do a new set. MSD makes nice wires.

Today I bought a GM alternator. I didn't realize they were so huge! Test fit it, and realized this isn't going to be very straight forward. I'm going to need a LOT of spacers for it to fit on my 1600.

Also dug out a couple relays from my electrical bag and did the headlight relay bypass, wired in a fuse holder, and put a nicer battery terminal on. Went to test it and found my battery is putting out a very unhealthy 1.5V.

I think that's correct......for a D battery, or C, or AA

Went down the list on non working gauges on my 69' SRL. Got all to work aside from fuel after sitting for 33 yrs. Took the sending unit out and apart and polished the coil and contact arm and BAM! Gauge works accurately!
Took apart several grilles to see about making one great one out of all of them. Judgment still out. :(

While the tank was open, I used my iphone to snap some interior pix. I expected a decent result due to no trash in my filters yet (but with no sloshing drive time to test) ...and this was what I saw!

I was pretty happy. :D

Cleaned and used 303 Aerospace Protectant spray on my convertible top and interior. Very good stuff. Great reviews and recommended by manufacturers.

Cleaning up the welds on the frame in preparation for powder coat. Some places are barely welded. Have to fix the right front sway bar support since the weld is broken from running in to something.
66 stroker, almost done.

About 1.5 years back, I dropped SRL 194 with a good classic car mechanic for a refresh of the driveline for the car. The U20 was disassembled and brought to a terrific machine shop in Houston, called Scroggins.

We'll....Machine shop has been done for a year with the engine, but the project had stalled. The mechanic decided to take a full time position at a parts shop, and doesn't have time to complete the project. So I picked up the engine this week and brought 194 to its new home.

And...For those that I haven't been in touch with over the past year...here is why..

After running out of space for the Datsuns, I picked up a country property in the rolling hills of west Texas to store the projects. The 1.5 acre property has a MetalShed/Shop, House and Horse Area. When I purchase the property at auction, it was an utter mess. I've spent the last 9 months fixing the house and shop.

Here are a few photos.
