Done installing my new voltage drop regulator. Then I cleaned the engine bay.

Yikes, these bearings with good grease should not rust. Good to see you are giving them attention!
Long ago (1974/75 or so) on the return of a 1700 mile journey, I could hear squeaking coming from the rear of my car.

Well the passenger side bearing gave out, and the axel shoved my tire under my wheel well and chewed it up. The car still went straight down the road. Good to give these rear bearing the respect they deserve!

Well I managed to get all the connections under the car ready to pull.
As we said in my former job, "cleared to fire". Well almost ...

The hardest part so far of all of this effort, was getting the top bolt/nut off my header/exhaust flex tube.
If I could stand up it would have been a lot easier.
Allen bolt will make it so the next owner cannot blame this on me. :D

Had to wack my half inch wrench with a hammer to get two of the drive shaft nuts started.

I took the whole morning to drive my frame and many other parts up north to Arlington, WA for black powder Friday. You get 20% off your powder coating.

And once again my frame mobility solution I built worked perfectly. Yes it's just a wood rack I built for the back of my Mazda pickup.

Thought about a picture but didn't bother. When I get it back then that will be picture time.

Worked on the braces for my body tipping jig today. Plan to weld them up tomorrow and try it out. Should make getting the undercoat off much easier with the body tipped up.

Interesting method. How sturdy did it feel on roll over?

Good, it has steel braces that bolt to the inside of the body. I lifted it most of the way with the engine lift and then tipped it the rest. I started to just lift it by hand but it was a bit too much. Saw a mustang and others on YouTube that used this method. One guy made a roller one for his VW bus. Saw a wood roller too.

I could have rented a rotisserie from one of the local roadster owners but I would have had to make the mounting brackets. Plus the rotisserie takes up more room.

I got about half the undercoat off today.

I re-tuned it after putting in a frankenheader, put in new gas lines lowered my tire pressure from 32 to 27.lbs //. I like this spot the best /./. Haven't gone to the recommended 21 yet , I haven't done the math on difference in tire size from stock.

Interesting, where will your battery sit when done?

I like it, kind of a Porsche vibe going on there. The front end seems kind of high though. How about some pictures of your interior?
