I'm not very good at documenting my project, but here are a couple of pics of my progress so far. The engine and tranny are mounted in the frame and the rx7 rear end is bolted up. Kudos to the Spriso crew, everything bolted up perfectly and looks better than factory!

Very nice!
Did you keep the disc brake backing plates on the mazda rearend? And what size wheels and offset did you use. I finally found and purchased a gsl-se rearend for my swap. Don't know yet how to deal with the roadster 1600 driveline flange to mazda differential flange. Just waiting to pull the pieces off the datsun rearend, mazda housing already stripped and ready to ship to Michael.
Swap looks great so far, what engine series did you use? Keep up the good work.

Ed,

You will need to keep the backing plates. Michael can help you with how to prep those and your driveline. My wheels are Rota RBs 15x7+12offset, tires are 195/50. They should fit without body mods.

My engine is a s13sr20. The drivetrain came with the "Jigsaw Puzzle Project" I bought about 5 yrs. ago from a guy that gave up on the car. It was completely dissasembled, most of body work done.

I had the Spriso crew do the frame mods even before I saw what I purchased. The rx7 LSD rear, 300zx front brakes, and flat dash conversion with electronic gauges are upgrades to modernize my car.

Hope to take it to Shasta in 2014.

I did a little work on the bling factor this weekend. Had the dash film dipped with an aluminum mesh design and wanted to see how the new gauges would look. Here are the results.
