Turn your miata into a Datsun roadster

check out this link and you will see a miata turn into a roadster. Doesn't look to bad, I always had the idea of fitting the miata suspension to an aluminum tublar frame and fitting it with a sr motor and slapping on your choice of roadster body but this looks a lot easier with more creature comforts.

IIRC, this made the forum and/or the list a couple months ago. I believe the consensus was close, but no cigar. The front end and side scoops look so Chrysler Cordoba-ish.

The rear is pretty good, but the front grille has to go, Sid pegged it as a Dodge Mirada/Chrysler Cordoba
I like the hard convertable top boot, might look sort of neat on a real roadster with a nice 50's style helmet fairing
Can't beat those quality english translations.

That is bad picture, real bad !
But it brings to mind one statement.
If a Datsun roadster is what you want, then get a "Datsun roadster" and all the little problems and short falls that come with owning a roadster ( any roadster).
The 20U Solex option is more than enough to stay out front is class 3, or rip the streets of anytown USA. The 1600 has always been a winner.
A 20U in a 2000 and 16R in a 1600, anything else is just heading down the path of what you hate about that picture.
