Hello all,

I have already made my intro but i thought it was time to start a thread to document my project.

Here is the car when i got her home.

Here are a few shots of my Body jig and the process of pulling the body off the frame.

The plan is to spend the next month or so completing the body work and then moving on to the frame.

I've decided that the body minus doors hood and trunk lid are going out to be blasted. I'm spending to much time cleaning paint, bondo and rust before i can get to the repairs and think this should help me save time.

Looking good - great that another roadster is getting the attention it deserves - instead of going to the junk pile.
Keep us updated (and motivated)

Thank you Peter. I really feel the car would have never seen the road again if i did not pick it up when i did.

The hood, fenders, and grille appear to fit well in the first pic. The few cars that I have encountered had the buckled edge on the nose of the inner fenderwell. IMO the hinge stop should be stronger. Im guessing its not really a stop at all. It is very thin.

Ok guys, I'm thinking of changing my plans to a Turbo VW VR6 with a Toyota R154 transmission. what do you think? I have a plan how to make it work and just love the sound of that engine.

Keep it all Nissan/Datsun. You asked. :D

I guess you've never heard the sound of a carbed VG30 With dual exhaust

For performance and practicality however, you can't beat the SR20det.
