Great to meet you as well Brent, glad you liked the long pipes, they certainly made my trip more interesting, it is funny now I am back at work I just want to go and keep driving...

Ladydriver, the roads were amazing although a little bumpy in places.

Here is the latest update,

I have had my new 19mm front sway bar made and fitted it.

It is the one in the middle.

Now I am waiting for my new 650lb front springs to be made.

I have also been playing with some Cyclone ram tubes that I bought from Japan and some 11mm spacers that go under my 50mm Solex ram tubes.

This week I flew down to Melbourne to spend a couple of days with Rod T. who made my long pipes and Lou M. to do some testing of some ram tubes that I made for Rod to try on a U20 motor.

Here are a couple of pics of the rams and adapters I made to fit 50mm Solex's.

It was really interesting and I learnt a lot, we did probably close to 200 pulls on the same kind of engine dyno that BRE were using back in the day, we tested carb sizes, ram tubes exhaust headers, cam timing, ignition timing and air cleaners.

Interesting stuff Rob, you always make me feel like I'm standing still!

So now you have 17, 19 and 23 you are just missing a 21mm.

rp975:

Looks like you have the same issue I do with the clutch master cylinder. I had to angle the cylinder so it would clear the filter. Mine is plastic but I wonder if yours is going to dent the filter cover when the motor rocks

Ken,

Yes I am just missing the 21mm bar but hope I don't need to complete the set. :)

You might feel like you are standing still but from what I understand your car will be very fast soon enough... :D

Spyder,
I too have angled my clutch master cylinder, I have also made an engine dampener which limits the engine rocking, it could do with some adjusting but atm it is hitting the master cylinder less than before.
It used to hit every time you started off from a set of lights but now it is nice.

I went a different direction limiting engine movement.

Phil,

I hope the only splined bars will be the axles and steering column in my car, lol.

Spyder,

That's very cool, what does it connect to up top?

They connect to the bolt on the block mount.

I did it years ago because I was tearing motor mounts.

Rob, great to see you enjoying the ride!
What engine was the ram tube test performed on, yours?
