Hello from Melbourne FL

Post by 67RoadSun »

Hello all, i just wanted to say hello. I purchased a 67 roadster about a week ago and am going to do a frame off restoration on it. The car has a almost no rust just some bad body work that needs fixing. Some may not agree with this, but i do plan to modernize it with a SR20det engine swap. I'll start anouther thread to document things as I go. Anyone else in Florida?

Quite a few in Florida! Robert Auclair is just up in Daytona, Sid's in Jacksonville. There's an SR20 swap underway in Orlando etc., etc.,
Welcome! Please post pictures of your ride!

A friend of mine has an "upgraded" DeLorean, it doesn't sound or produce anything like yours!
Nice work. The roadster looks very solid and rust free, should be nice to watch the restoration!

Thanks! yes i'm very happy to say there is zero major rust on the whole car. I plan to send the body off to the pros to be restored and painted, not my area. I'm planning to work on the frame myself.

It's a 2JZGTE out of a Toyota Supra turbo.

You mean I could have bought a roadster without the rusted out fenders? Who know?

Nice car and good luck with the project.
