Hello all,
Just a quick note. The transport just dropped off SRL #525. A new project to keep me busy. I purchased the car from Craig Halsted in Virginia. I've never met Craig, hell never spoke with him, just emailed each other. But, you couldn't ask for a better transaction. I committed to purchase the car, but was leaving the next morning for France. Craig was willing to hold the car, until I returned, "A handshake deal" so to speak. Not many people would hold a car on an email commitment.
Thanks Again Craig!!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Yes right now I'm all smiles!!

Good for you Chuck. May your restoration go well. I have never met Craig either but I have never heard any thing but good things about him. Now you know why. Have fun!! Don't smile too much!

Congratulations. Craig is a nice guy, he drove down to Solvang last year in my car. He has some interesting parts at his place. I wish he would post to the forum, he is a valuable resource for the roadster community.

Fantastic... we need to have a roadster gathering when the weather gets better. :)

Shop is due to arrive this week. Slab was poured two years ago, but will be nice to have a 30' x 50' place to work!

Pool is going in, too.

Haven't touched the roadster in ages. '66 1600 these days.

Big time congrats!

I have a suggestion for a roadster meeting for the Texas group.

In feb. I will be racing my 1600 at Texas World Speedway in Bryan College Station, its done in conjunction with Corithian Vintage Auto Racing we usually have approx 200 entrys. I am the only Datsun roadster in F-production and as of our last race the class of the field Thanks to a 2:05 lap time on th 2.9 mile track we could all get together on Saturday exchange ideas and do some bench racing.

It's not too far from Austin, Sam if you and Rita would consider going we could all go down together and I would not mind being point man for the setup, should be good roadster weather.

You guys tell me what you think.

Russell,
Sounds like a great idea. I'm in. Let me know, if you need some help organizing the gathering.
