Sorry for the delay. At my job no vacation goes unpunished, so I've been catching up.
We had a severe rain storm with large hail and high winds predicted Saturday morning, so it kept some people away. but the show and shine was fun, if a bit wet. Tops went up around 9:30 am
Some categories had trophies but nobody to vote for, so we got creative.
Captain Lawrence Brewery Best in Show Fred Davidson 69 2000
East Coast Roadster People's Choice Carl Langenfeld 68 1600 Buick V8
Best Late 2000 Fred Davidson 69 2000[
Best 67.5 2000 George Hobers 67.5 2000
Best Early 1600 Marty Lind 66 1600
Diamond in the Rough George Hobers 67.5 2000
In the non voted awards
Best 1500..Mark Dent Mark Dent vs. Dave Pesky Paper Rock Scissors..Rock broke Scissors.
Nobody brought a 1500, Mark Dent's had engine problems and never left Maryland, Dave Peskey didn't bring his, but it's been to the Glen, Mine has never left the garage, so I wasn't eligible.
Best Late 1600 Nathan Kroop He was the only late 1600 , but was sleeping late and missed the Show and Shine. He was able to rouse himself by late afternoon for dinner and to collect the trophy.
Fun all around, trophy plaques came from a local shop in Watkins Glen, who did a great job.
