Due to excessive peer pressure, I plan on attending this event.
Large course, Huge covered paddock, and some very fast cars.
If 'we' dont break, a season ending blast up to Mt St Helens and back is in order as well.

Please post when you're doin the St Helens run. If the Warp Drive is back on line (have to get my alt fixed) and the weather cooperates I would be up for that if I'm available that day. Not sure what side you were planning on going up, but the back or east side is far superior. The road there can have some rough spots (unless they have worked on it recently), but as I recall the road past the summit down through Cougar and then to I5 was one great road! I came up it years ago coming back from Shasta and it remains a big grin producing memory in my brain. Would love to see Andy in person! It is a long drive, even from my house in Bonney Lake, but it's worth it. That area is currently my favorite on this side of the mountains. Going west has just not done much for us, and we both liked eastern WA better... Winthrop and the north cascades!

Sept 22nd or 23rd. I will try NF25 to NF99, in an attempt to get close to Spirit lake.

Yep, that's the east side... much much more fun than the west side of the mountain. You will get pretty close to the lake and will be able to take pictures. If you have not been there since it blew up you will be amazed! I hope it is clear. The lead up road (NF25) can be rough in places... I know that I caught air at warp speed on one bump on the return drive one year... other parts are great. If you continue on NF25 it will eventually reach I5 but it is a ways especially if you are returning to your home up north. It is however a great road with wonderful scenery so I encourage anyone to drive it. Round trip from Bonney Lake, going the east side of the mountain and then down south to I5, then back home is 305 miles, and about 6.5 hrs assuming no run up NF99 to the mountain itself. I had planned this as a local Roadster run but alas my car has not cooperated enough to plan it this year. I can't get mapquest to tell me how far it is round trip or otherwise if I add NF99, but I would imagine is it about 2hrs less.

I work on sat the 22nd, but could go the 23rd assuming you want company, the weather cooperates and Scottie (me) has fixed the main energizer to the warp drive (alternator). Let me know!

I had a blast beating the crap out of this car.
No harm was done all weekend. 11 runs 3 courses.

Looks way fun! But how do you keep track of where you are going? I'd pull a Captain Slow and go the wrong way for sure!

Follow the skid marks?

If not a regular who has run this course, you must WALK the course. My problem was that I forgot the first half!!!! I had track duty the first group, so by the time I ran I forgot even more!!!!.
I have a vid of my last run, on the long course, tires sqealing skidding, flat out. But it's gonna take 500 hrs to load. I must have a dam slow connection.
Quite fun. Andy done good, real good.
