The Resource For All Things Datsun Roadster S211/SPL212/310/311 Datsun Sports Roadster 1959-April 1970 circa 40,000 produced https://www.311s.org/phpBB3/
Sora Blue was dyno'd before JCCS roadtrip.
108hp/115tq to the wheels
not bad for a car with no carb tuning and 8 year old ignition!

Is that typical for what a stock 2L Solex should put to the wheels? Isn't the 150 HP the crank number?

Just before JCCS the brake master cylinder failed, and the right caliper needed to be rebuilt. A 510 M/C was modified to work the night before the big trip!
fresh calipers:
thank goodness this didn't fail while we were blasting down Mt. Diablo
would have been disastrous

That's a really weird direction for it to leak too Alvin - it's like it's squirting out sideways instead of dripping down.
Have fun bleeding that one after the repair! - NOT.

This summer, I met the guy who owned the car before Michael. He remembers the car fondly!

Sora Blue is becoming my favorite Roadster color. Also that picture at the corkscrew is amazing.

Awhile back I tried to find out empirically, iirc they were close. I will measure again and post!
I took some measurements (inch).
RF/LF = top of front fender to floor
RR/LR = top of rear fender to floor
Frame = bottom of front frame rail to floor
Tire = tire diameter
Sora / Black
RF 23.75 / 23
LF 22.75 / 23
RR 20.5 /20.25
LR 20.5 /20.5
Frame 3.25 /3
Tire 22.7 /23.3
Here is an old picture of both cars, when I was running identical 14" Panasports and 195/60/14 combo.
Interesting thing about Sora…I always shoot the driver's side since it oddly has much less fender gap then passenger side The measurements indicate this, wonder if it's a fender fitment or suspension issue.
