For any of you running these wheels. What size tire can you use without problems? Is there still someone that can get a good deal on Falkens? Any issues with lug nuts? TIA Pat Mahoney '69 2000 32 degrees in Idaho

Are you thinking of the ones like mine? If so, I couldn't fit anything bigger than 185 60s, you might get a 195 under there if you roll the fender lips. Discount tire has them for about $54 each shipped.

Will, Those are the wheels I have. What did you use for lug nuts? I have some with the standard shoulder, approx. .68". I've heard that some Z-car wheels require a fatter shouldered lug or a sleeve to compensate. Is this a concern? Pat

I used a set of nuts with a few washers for spacers, otherwise they will bottom out on the wheel. You might be able to use a set of McGaurd short shank nuts (Summit racing) and not have them bottom. I never had one come loose that way. I have since changed to a set of Libres and run the McGaurds on those.

If it's rear wheel clearance you're worried about you can always swing the rear leaf spring shackle under the cradle instead of in it. At least that is what I did. It raised the rear of the car about 2 inches, and in my opinion gives the car a more aggresive look. I did this about 10 years ago at the suggestion of some Mustang and Camaro buddies. Since then I have autocrossed about 20 times, and put about 5,000 miles on the car without any obvious problems. If memory serves correctly I have rims that are actually for an 1984ish Sentra, and I am running Yokohama A509 185/60 tires with no rear clearance issues, and plan to move up to 195+ Falkan Azeinas in the spring. It makes the rear wheel well have as much clearance on the top of the tire as the front wheel well. I also had the springs rearched with another leaf put in and am running the White KYB shocks all around. Rear is stiff as a board. If you're interested in some pics let me know and I'll e-mail you some. I realize most people want to lower their roadsters to improve the handling, but this worked for me. I was sick of always scraping the rear inside fenders during hard cornering.

Swinging the shackels is a BAD idea. It will make the car handle very strangly, and look wierd. I'd say roll the fenders before messing with the shackels.
