The Resource For All Things Datsun Roadster S211/SPL212/310/311 Datsun Sports Roadster 1959-April 1970 circa 40,000 produced https://www.311s.org/phpBB3/
It occurred to me that I've posted a ton of stuff, but never started my own build thread, so here we are.
I was thrilled to get some time to work on syncing the carbs and getting the idle right.
I believe this is the best that I have had this car idle since I owned it. Its smooth as glass right now, I would almost put a glass of water on the valve cover! (but maybe a plastic cup is safer )
Here's a quick video of the idle, exhaust and idle speed - I still need to want to get it down a little more to 700RPM, but again, silly me, I was so excited by how it was running I didn't want to risk losing the minute of nirvana!
Well, seeing how this is a thread about your ride, how 'bout some pictures?

Ok, good point, I don't have that many overall shots, mostly what I have done on specific areas, brakes, engine, transmission etc.
Here are some, they may be recycled from other posts:
So here it was about 8 years ago - it had been sitting outside - about a year or two later it went to Wisconsin in the back of a U-haul box truck

Here it is recently:

An interior shot, not sure about the red trim and on the clock, PO, but it's not bad....

And here is my Sister in law enjoying the ride (or her beer!)

Thanks, they are Enkei's, not sure of which model, 14" . The front tires are Dunlops and look awesome, but I don't think they are made anymore.
the backs are a 25 year old pair of Pirelli's that were on the car when I got it 25 years ago!
They won't be going much farther, new tires are on the blocks after I license it.

Your car looks so good, love the wheels. Thinking about getting something like them for my car.

Unfortunately I have to admit it looks better in pictures than in real life! It will need a paint job and some minor body work, but there is no rust. This was a true CA car - I bought it from my Sister in Martinez, CA. It had undergone a frame-off restomod before she got it. I have been slowly getting it back closer to stock. Those wheels, and the Pirellis came with the car. I am considering changing the gold color to a gunmetal gray.

I've seen it, it's a great looking car! We'll have to meet up and actually drive our roadsters sometime.

Thanks for the kind words! I agree we need to connect on the road, course I need to get it licensed first! Plus when I rebuilt the transmission I did not replace the synchros - despite replacing everything else - and it grinds a bit going into 2nd. Driveable, but annoying. that is with synthetic, so maybe dyno oil will help, but I know I need to pull it again.
