Ed, that swap looks fantastic! I didn't know you were working on a swap project. Can't wait to see it on the road.

I owe an apology to Michael Spreadbury, called his last name spriso. Sorry.

Ed,
Are those mostly 2/1/2 silicon 90's and 45's you used to do the turbo plumbing outside the fender well? Looks lke a simple arrangement. Hard to tell from the pics.
Regards,
Steve

Yes, all of the bends are silicone 90's and a 45, and a couple of 2.5" aluminum tubing pieces. Haven't installed the clamps yet, just mocked up stage. Much easier than a one piece aluminum part, but doesn't look as good, but I figured it is under the fender and allowed me to spend money on the aluminum pieces in the engine compartment. Aluminum tubing and having it welded is expensive as is the equipment to weld it, so this was a good alternative for me and I'm happy with the results so far as long as everything holds up to rigors of spirited driving. I'll take some pics of the plumbing and post them tomorrow.

I temporarily wired up my engine, placed the fuel pump into a pan of fuel, and started it up! I had a few problems leading up to it actually starting, like getting the fuel supply and return lines backwards on the engine side, and had an oil leak at the block for the turbo oil line (loose connection on the fitting) and had a union fitting on the return fuel line to the tank leak (forgot to tighten), but I just had to hear it run after all the wiring, fitting, etc.
Thought I'd share this great moment with all of you. There is hope for you guys like me that there is and end in sight. Don't have a boost controller, nor any gauges or the wiring done yet or the front chassis wiring or even a permanent fuse box. The new 240z ignition switch works great, nice and crisp. The fuel tank is installed, just need to install the fuel sending unit I ordered. I didn't want to fill the tank up only to drain and vent it afterward to drill the hole and install the sending unit. I am going with Auto Meter gauges from their custom shop. I modified the 67.5 dash to accept a 5" speedo and tach, a 3.5" quad set in between the speedo and tach, and a 2" clock and boost gauge. Dash face will be body colored (2012 Honda Rallye Red).
Will move on to wire the dash and complete the wiring harness, and then on to body work.

I'm doing the S15 SR20DET swap. Gonna weld the new motor mount plates to the frame on Tuesday night. SLC is only 7 hours from Cheyenne. Could be more like 4 hours with a DET

I have been working on painting and wiring the dash, and fitting the gauges. Wiring from scratch is a lot of work. Modifying the dash
for the gauges and making it flat was way easier than the wiring, I'm a lot better at body work and metal working than wiring. Great to
see the other swaps in progress and the imagination at work, keep up the good work. Wiring is 90% complete for the dash. Try to ignore
the mess in the background, I'll take pics of it cleaned up later, in the meantime the work has to go on. Here is a pic of the dash and a
link to photobucket with more pics if interested.
