Supermoon Sat 5/5/12 Photo shoot

Post by Linda »

To help with the post-Solvang let down, I thought I'd try to get a photo with the moon in the background because there will be a "super moon" on Sat. This means the moon is very close to the earth and will appear huge! Moonrise is 5:15p per Accuweather.com so I'm planning a little run up into the local mountains around 4 to scout a location.
Hope some of you might consider taking a nice pic too. :)

You would not believe this .but i took a very poor picture of the moon this morning on my way to work. (saturday morning) where i live there is no light pollution so it looked awesome.i cant post the picture as the quality is very bad i was doing 60mi in the dark trying to take a shot.but it was a beautiful sight.

That is almost tempting to try and shoot. I have the perfect place. I've done some long exposure photography with my M3 at night.

Here are a couple others I shot that night.

Yes there is a light about 200 yards behind the car off to the left. The rest is all moonlight. It might be fun to do that with the roadster.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

Too much haze for me to get a good shot of the moonrise in Malibu. It looked great later on in the evening though. Had a great drive thru the mountains anyway!
