Solvang Caravan (one of many)

Post by Fairlady66 »

For those heading to the 25th Anniversary of the Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic from Southern California and you want to join in the fun of a caravan here is some information.

For those leaving the Inland Empire (Riverside, Moreno Valley, Hemet, etc...) area you can meet at the Breyer's house in Riverside on Friday April 27 around 8:30am. We pull out at 9:00am - for those traveling down the 15 there is no need to divert to to Riverside, we will make a quick stop in Norco at the McDonald's on 6th Street to pick up anyone that wants to join in (this is also a good place to gas up - Chevron gas station next door by freeway on ramp). We will pull out of McDonald's around 9:30ish. From there we head to the Woodlake Lanes in Woodland Hills to meet up with others and form a larger caravan.

Below are the addresses for where to meet at what time.

The Breyer's
2992 Quebec Dr
Riverside, CA 92504
Pulling Out at 9:00am

McDonald's - Norco
1511 6th Street,
Norco, CA 92860
Pulling Out 9:30/9:45

Woodlake Lanes
23130 Ventura Blvd.
Woodland Hills, CA 91364
Pulling Out After Lunch (12:00ish)

Sometimes on Saturday mornings a group meets at the Woodlake Lanes and pulls out around 5:30am. I am not sure who or how many or even if any will be there. The best thing is can suggest is to keep on eye on this forum to see if any information is posted on a Saturday morning caravan.

I look forward to seeing you all in Solvang if not in the caravan.

Enjoy your Ride!

If we are in a Honda Civic, can we ride and take pics of everyone? :) I'd love to join the caravan at 12:00, but my Roadster will not be done by then. :(

Anyone going in this Caravan that is willing to have me stick a suction cup mount with a video camera to their car for a while? I have a small little HD camera that I wanted to try out and get some video footage of a Roadster driving and then I wanted to film it from the outside at the same time. Maybe splice together a cool little video and put it on YouTube.

I got the suction cup so it won't hurt the paint. I think it's the same Mount that Adam Corolla was using in his BRE video around the track.

I will be coming back with the group if you want to get pictures of the return run.
