Steve,

I've joined..;-) I won the 2000 crank for $72. Have to go to work from 3:30 to 10 p.m. If you find the heat shield, let me know here, I will ck when I get home this evening. Once your crank is modified, I would appreciate it if the machine shop could provide a machinists drawing of what they did, with dimensions, etc. so I can do my crank. I have a 13x40 Jet lathe and a Grizzly milling machine for such work. Good tip on the top bow repair through CD MS. I will ck out that avenue.

Scott,

Got home late today. It is really dark out in my shed and frankly I am tired. I know I have one you should find useable. Just give me your snail mail address to my webmaster account at 311s.org and I will send it some time this week. Sound good? Later................

Well, good news. I found one on an old intake and it is in great shape. No cracks or anything. Lucky you. I will send it out tomorrow.

:D

It did not make it out today. The line running our UPS system was down until I repaired it late this afternoon. It will go out tomorrow. I bead blasted it this AM at work. It is cracked in the usual places around each bolt mounting hole. You should be able to either weld or braze them up. It actually looks like someone did just that at one time or another. Any way, it is in excellent shape otherwise. Put it to good use.
