Re: Show your shift knobs
I always like the look of a Ferrari shift plate, obviously the shift throw isn't as short as a Ferrari. I did a lot of measuring and pattern making out of 1/4 inch plywood until I got it right then 1/4 inch bass polished and chromed. Nearly impossible to miss a gear.Datsun.David wrote:Thomcraft, that gated shifter plate is beautiful too... Does it shift pretty natually through the gates? The knob is cool too.

Re: Show your shift knobs
I just let this one go on ebay. It was really cool that it had the matching key chain!

Re: Show your shift knobs
Wow, I just saw this post, Thomcraft. Any chance you'd be willing to make another one of these or post up the schematics? I'd love to put this in my Roadster!Thomcraft wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2013 11:30 am I always like the look of a Ferrari shift plate, obviously the shift throw isn't as short as a Ferrari. Re: Show your shift knobs
Thomcraft hasn't checked in here in almost two years. Shame though, beside the shift plate he did a really cool steering wheel mod. The craft in his screen name was well earned!
