Hello! My name is Chris and I am located in Saint Paul MN. I have a 1970 Datsun Roadster 2000 that I am currently restoring and doing a ka24de swap as the original motor gave out at about 21k miles. The car has been sitting in my garage for about 10 years and it is finally time. I have been lurking for a little while and have already gained a wealth of info on this car that has helped me alot.

Welcome Chris. Get that bad boy running. There are several other folks in Minnesota whom have roadsters. Once I get the registry database done you will be able to easily search by state to find folks close toy you. There are some folks in Wisconsin-some in Illinois and several of us here in Iowa. We ought to have a mid-west meet some day. Maybe Road America in Wisconsin would be a good place to meet. Any way-just thinking out loud. Good luck with the project and post some pictures please.

I also must say I am not a "new owner", this beautiful car has been in my garage for many many many years. I have had alot ofpeople try to but it off of me but I refuse to let it go! The old motor blew so the easiest way to repair is swap as I had a hard time finding parts for it. I do hae the old motor on the floor in front of the car if anybody is interested in it. I also have the original trans (5 speed). After I get it all together I will make a for sale post to unload all of the uneeded parts so someone else can revive another one of the rare gems.
