Boo-ya! Can't wait! Glad to hear this is on.
Dreaming of the day when I can drive my '69 Roadster with a SR20DET motor purring beneath the body. :)

I'm really glad this is going to happen. We were starting to get worried. My dad, brother, and I will be there. I just made reservations for a BASIC+ campsite near the "dry river" at Flying Flags...

Great news! I can now complete plans for my first sojourn to Solvang though it won't be in a roadster unless I can rent (or steal) one at LAX.

Looking forward to viewing some great cars and great event.

Burbank airport BUR, is closer and they have great weekend rental car rates . Avoid LAX and LA traffic whenever possible. SIG alerts are no fun.

Thanks for the good travel advice Linda. We may end up driving, as I have business in AZ and NV around the same time but it is all up to SWNBO! Solvang is a certainty though!

Hi Garth.
If your driving you can caravan with a gaggle of Roadsters.
Richard and I will be joining Bill Cole and 2 other Roadsters on Wed (April 25) am at Albany OR.
Currently 4 roadster and Richard's parts van will be going.
Arriving Thursday night in Solvang. Bill has a Friday morning drive planned.
Mitch is considering the trip but no confirmation yet.
Any other of the BC Roadster guys going?
Ted.

Ted,

Thanks for the invitation to ride along. I don't know if my Rogue can keep up with a pack of roadsters! Lol Lol.

I will ask a few of the BC guys. I might be able to talk Daryl into making the trip as he is usually up for adventure. I'll let you know.

Thanks again.

Ted, Keep me posted, we'll probably meet you on the 101 Thursday sometime on the way south from Santa Cruz. Get some photos of everyone on the road. BTW, found a killer deal for a hotel in Santa Cruz on the beach Tues and Wed if anyone is stopping on the way down, they still had rooms.
Garth, be good to finally meet, definably get Daryl in on this. Get to see Richard too, who apparently brought his shopping cart :D
If it's a help to anyone we are heading for LAX Sunday for a 4 pm flight, can probably stuff in 1 or 2 people.
We flew into Santa Barbara first time, nice little airport, car rental was a PITA but not bad. From what I've read, right now, approx 6 weeks out, is the best time to book a flight.

Also for those that are getting started Friday morning there is usually a caravan of Roadsters that meet at the Woodlake Lanes (Bowling Alley) on Friday around 11:00am or so and usuallu pull out after lunch. Woodlake Lanes is located at 23130 Ventura Blvd. Woodland Hills, CA 91364, just off of the Ventura Frwy (101).

My tentative plan is to leave the San Jose area early on Friday morning and take my time via the coastal route.

The more, the merrier...
