Hello Everyone!

Post by sr20sean »

I thought I posted an intro but it appears I never hit submit
My name is Sean, I'm 20, pretty new to Datsun's. Never owned one but I'm looking for one. (I know you guys want to hear me say I want a roadster but I also love 510's and b210's) I've been around cars, trucks, go-karts, dirt bikes, etc for most of my life. Up until this past December I had never worked on a Datsun until my friend Willy, also a member on here (username woody) asked me to strip his new roadster down for him, which I gladly accepted. I came on here after he told me that all the info I would need was on here.
Just a few pictures of the progress:

As you can see I really don't have a problem working in the cold/snow since I have no garage.
Back to the story! I joined here after he told me he wouldn't be able to pick up the remaining parts and I could get rid of them. I said I was just going to throw them out until he mentioned that I could easily sell them. This is when I joined here (also when I forgot to post this thread originally... woops).

But onto my cars/projects.
Current daily driver: 92 240sx coupe (stock)

-My 87 Dodge Dakota restoration project can be seen in some of the pictures of the roadster.
-My previous 240's. Just a few pictures because I really don't feel like trying to find pictures of all 7-8

Just a few other hobbies:
Well this first one is more of a skill that my parents exploited - tiling(also do plumbing)

The beginning of my collection Remington 581 & mossberg 500 18.5" barrel, also just paid half of a Stevens 200 in 30-06 need to go back tomorrow and pay the rest

Trailer for the snowmobile (started off as a 4x4 and I converted it to a tilting 4x9)

How it started(also my jetski, that I managed to blow up this summer, is in the background)

Days like this I love (multiple projects at once. read: project I was working on and my dad told me to stop so I could fix his car)

Well I know you guys probably are tired of reading and I'm honestly tired of typing so I'll stop here. Plus I sort of over-did it...

Cliffs:

No specific trade (if it's hands on I probably know how to do it/have done it)
Got tired of typing.
Hit submit this time

Welcome Sean, you are definitely a car guy and by the sounds of it quite handy at many things. Good luck on your Datsun search.

Welcome Sean,
You remind me of another young guy who was on here. His name was Evan from Georgia and he was only 15 but had a lot car knowledge. He had a Roadster but then moved on.
Good luck on all your projects.

Linda
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.
