Irvine, CA Cars 'N Coffee, Saturday Feb 4
Anyone who is up for an early morning get-together, some folks from the SoCal TT (local backroads driving event) are meeting up at Cars N’ Coffee in Irvine this Saturday.
Advertised as 7-9am, you’ll might be hard pressed to get a parking space in the display area after 7:15, but stuff starts to free up again around 8.
Map:
http://public.fotki.com/wackydave/cruis ... fee02.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(note: the Ford Performance Auto Group bldg is now the Taco Bell Center of Excellence, draw whatever conclusions about the state of the auto industry from that you want)
Always pretty “sick with supercarsâ€, the only place you can show up in a Bugatti Veyron and be one of 2 in attendance.
Cell: three-one-oh, 9one9-8oh77
Fergus O, 69 2000, Los Alamitos, CA
(Just back from an extended business trip in a place with NO COOL CARS, jonesing for some unusual hardware)
Always good pics to be found at:
http://www.cncpics.com/2012/January" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Current tentative attendees: (folks to keep an eye out for)
P. Bauman (stellar smurf blue 66 1600)
myself (somewhat clapped out 69 2000, maroon)
Rene (likely a 75 MGB in bright orange/red)
Tom D. (who knows, Fiat Berlina, Ford Capri racecar, any one fo a number of TR's, all in "runner" condition)

and all the pics have been posted. Different computers format the pic pages differently, but suffice to say they caught the roadsters leaving, so start from the end and work your way back towards the front. The Desirello's, Paul Bauman, and myself in the pics, the others they englaceted to capture, and none of us while parked.
Tins of supercar shots... blecccch.
A real cool street converted and somewhat rebodied Crossle F2 racer witha Ford Cosworth engine. I was infatuated even before I found out it was made in Ireland.
thanks to all who came out. From the looks on people's faces, there was some "datsun learning" going on, which is really what counts. The fact that the photog's interest didn't lhave time for the Desirello's beautiful handiwork, well, just sums up the illogical, misplaced lack of good taste of some folk.
Hope we can get together and swap stories again,
Fergus O

Your "not susceptible to polish" looks very good, in the photo of you arriving in the early morning! Just saying drive it at night lol.
