Old Paperwork

I came across some old paperwork for my car. If anyone wants a scan I can send it off.
I have a May 1968 Datsun Dealer List United States, Canada, and Mexico
and
Warranty and Service Booklet It has the "Lubrication and Inspection Service tear off tags starting at 21,000 miles going every three thousand to 36,000 miles. The back of each card lists the service to be performed.
It shows a "delivery date" for my car of 8-24-68. Delivery dates for people are birthdays so on my shiny new Roadster Calendar I will pencil it in.

I would be great if you could do a good quality scan(s), and then we can add them to the wiki!

I'll do a test and send it to you. If it is good enough, I'll do the the whole thing.
It will feel good to be able to contribute something to the general knowledge base.

My father's old dealership should be listed on there if Canada is included. It was in Stoney Creek Ont.

Jerry's Garage 89 King St. E.
It is cold out there today (California cold) so my today project will be to do the scanning.

I have this one as well and wanted to scan it for contribution but my scanner is a POS and the scans were crap so I bagged it.
Glad someone else can do this!

Yeah, I've got mine too with original date of purchase and dealership, and service records through about 20,000 miles. Pretty cool to see the ripped off tags and signatures.
Cheers

Once it is up and running, I'll have to stop off at the dealer and ask for my 21,000 mile service.

I also found a picture of my "new" car shortly after I bought it in 73.

I have one (warranty and service booklet) along with a service manual that came with my 1600. Original owner (John R. in Toronto). Delivery date (June 14 68 ... I would have been almost eight months old). Vehicle model (SPL311). Car no. (18209). Engine no. (R-60142 ... still in car). Shipping invoice no. (?). paint no. (666 silver) Key no. Selling dealer (St. Clair Motor Service on Dundas St W in Toronto ... still there).
600 mile/1000 km Free Service done on June 29/68 (774 miles)
2000 mile/3000 km Free Service done on Aug 7/68 (2268 miles)
Still waiting for the 4000 mile/6000 km Service (which was NOT free so that may have something to do with it)

I found also my maintenance handbook, it's not in great shape but you can read it.
it's a make and model 1967, but delivered 11-12-1966.
Thr car was sold by BRIT SMITH CAR COMP. University drive & mill ave. Tempe Arizona. to Thomas E Roos or Poos, It's difficult to see.
The last inspection was in June '69 at 24000 miles and it hat 5 different (known)owners, like Tony evans, Terry Heburn, Ron Puerifer, Scots Dale.
