Hello Everyone, just purchased a very nice 1965 1500 (Red/Burgundy interior). Drove it home yesterday, good thing as it snowed today !! Looking forward to new adventures with this car. Brady

Welcome aboard Brady! I am sure your car was well bought. I know it from conversations with the previous owner, not having seen it. If you need a hand with anything, let me know.
David.

Hello David, thanks for chiming in. Ken mentioned talking with you and was going to forward me your e-mail address. I believe you connected in Okotoks or High River, can't recall. He spoke highly of your Roadster(s). Picked the car up yesterday from the Bragg Creek area and drove home to NW Calgary, very fun albeit the marginal brakes which I had known from the test drive. I would love to catch up with you as I know you can help guide me along with the car.

Happy to help Brady... And post pics for sure! You will likely take some kindly ribbing for the custom interior, but I guarantee there has been MUCH worse out there! And yours still looks decent.
Ross is an awesome resource in Vancouver and has a tonne of parts and vast knowledge... saw he commented on your brake question... depending on what you do with the car, stock drums can work reasonably well when brought up to snuff. Having said that, the discs on the roadsters are great and will stand the little cars on their noses with good pads...
PM me and we can catch up when a Chinook blows through... (That's Calgary speak for a warm wind off the west coast for the rest of you...)

Welcome to the list Brady. Nice to see another Canadian car is up and running. This list is a great resource, and many people have great ideas to help you get the car up to what ever level you want it to be at. Maybe those of us in the Western Provinces can meet in BC, where it didn't snow today (sorry, low blow!)

Make sure you stay in touch.
Last June I organized the first Alberta All Datusn Meet. We hope to see you in 2012. There were two roadsters in attendance and about three more whose owners chickened out (it did snow though...barely).
Hope to see about 8-10 in 2012.
