Front wheel base distance

Post by eastmedia »

Hi All,
I was noticing the front wheels on my 69 seem to stick out a little more than the rear. SO, I measured the distance between each of the front wheels and then each of the rear wheels. The fronts are about 3 inches wider than rear. All rims and tires match. Is this normal or did a PO change a front or rear end?
Thanks,
Ron

Yes, the front is wider than the rear. The car narrows towards the rear. According to my book, the front track is 1270 (mm?) and the rear is 1198.
