Hey, I am a new owner of a 1969 2000 and starting my restoration project. I'm sure I will have lots of questions in the future, but right now I am wondering about my dash.

I actually like the older dashes better and I am wondering if I can buy an older dash and just install it into my car? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance and I hope to be able to offer information as I learn more.

It has been done for years.
There is no one method. In general, the dash and cover will line-up very well.

Search "+Flat +dash" for lots of discussion. Eric Shaw's is one of the best



Cost for parts will be 1-2K

Most use at least the early dash and this part of the body (cut).

Yes, that is one of my roadsters. It looks a little worse for the ware now.
I am going out of town this Thursday camping for several days and on a 10 day fishing trip at the end of the month. We can get together after that.

Just a note, the search feature and tech wiki are your friends - there is a link to the tech wiki at the top of the page. Being new, I would suggest going through this carefully, you'll learn a ton.

The flat dash conversion is pretty easy-- you will have some time in heater controls and getting the defrost tubes to work correctly if you decide to hook up those parts...

I just cut out the dash assembly out of a 1966 SPL311. $100 includes the dash minus the instruments, used and rough dash pad and the piece that the dash hooks up to. SOLD to Rob Moreau

If that includes the glove box door and hinges, that is a screaming good deal Ross.

I scrounged up a 67.5 upper and a 66-67 face. The support behind the gauges is located different. 66 is to the right of the clock, the 67.5 is to the left. (of the right gauge). As of now interferes with the mirror support. Easy fix.

That is museum quality work Michael!!!!

it does include the glove box door and hinges. We took it out as one piece. Mirror was broken so no mirror or base.

I do have over 20 dashes for sale, both 65-67 and 67.5 dash faces. I do not have the dash pad supports piece cut out .
Bare dash faces with no instruments $100-$300 depending on condition.
I have some covered in vinyl, some are chromed, some are mint original.

Ross, I love the dash that I got from you, but I saw on another site that you might be selling floor pans? I just removed the flooring and my driver side has a small 4 inch rust hole in the floor board. So how much do they cost?
