Hello all,
My very first car, in 1970 at the age of 17,was a 1967 1600 Roadster. About 1976 I owned a 2000 for a while, but unfortunately I was young and buying and selling cars constantly.I wish I'd never let them go. I've just found an incredible deal on a 69 2000. It's a bit rough, but all there and straight for $300.00. The guy is out of town, and I'm supposed to pick it up from him when he returns. I'll post photos when I can. It will be nice to have another Roadster, I've missed them.

Thanks for the welcome. The car is pretty rough, but I figure for $300 I can't go wrong. I've wanted another Roadster for a long time, but didn't want to spend a bunch of money on one somebody else fixed up. I'd rather do it myself. I'm not a "full restoration" kind of guy, I like things a little more aggressive than that.
thanks again for the warm welcome. I'll be spending lots of time on here in the future, I'm sure.

Get it Rat Rod Ready and come to Solvang in April. Natones has one of my favorite cars..It's primered, pretty straight not particularly rusty or dented, runs like a scalded cat. It just has style.

Thanks, Dave. I'll put Solvang on the calendar. I'll try to make it, I'd love to see all those Roadsters, even if my car isn't on the road by then. My Mother-in law lives in Arroyo Grande, so it can be a family visit, keeps the cost down.

I'm going to try and post some photos. I had some technical difficulties earlier, but Steve helped me out. here goes. I'm thinking, not bad for $300.00. Of course, it's not in my possession yet, but hopefully will be soon.

Man I love a good cheap project! You have a good solid looking starter car for a long expensive project.

Yeah, I kinda feel bad about paying so little for it...NOT!
It should be a lot of fun, as well as a lot of work.
