My 2 liter stroker is doing fine but I thought I'd share a peculiar breakdown I had on my way back to Missoula.
About a mile out of Huson, a small berg about 20 miles outside of Missoula I switched on my headlights and within seconds all electrical quit me and I had to put her in neutral and cost to a stop.
I have the GM 63 amp alternator conversion with a big 50 amp blade fuse inline from the alternator to the battery + and an in line 30 amp fuse from the starter up to the amp guage. Checked them both right off the bat and they were both good.
It took me about 20 minutes with the test light to figure out that the darned wire of the inline fuse had failed just short of the fuse holder

I had everything but a wire nut or connector to rehook the white wire back to itself, so cobbled one of the used ones and was able to get her restarted and home.
I plan on leaving it that way. That fuse wire must have been bad from the factory as I have noticed a drop in overall output in my volt gauge I installed when I did the alternator conversion, but shook it off as just old electrics. I now show 14 volts all the time, a drop to 13 with the lights on.
Just thought I'd share that with you.
