Hayashi wheel restoration

I've had this set of Hayashi Command 500s for about 4 years now. I've been using them as race wheels, but after I killed the last set of tires I had on them, I figured it was time to restore them back to the way the came from the factory (more or less.) I've only got one done as of now, but wow, what a difference. This wheel had some damage to the center so I couldn't just do a polish on it. I had to fill the dents with some JB weld and sand smooth. It worked pretty well. You can't tell unless you look really hard.

These should stand out well on the car.

Nice job, I love the vintage japanese wheels and I love the gold. Nice choice.

The other 3 wheels would be a good start 8) After that, I still have a set of 14x7 Panasports that are looking pretty ratty. My Libre street wheels could use with a refresh as well.

I just found a set of these Hayashis for sale. The guy is asking $1800 :smt103 Will these be worth that much when I'm done, I'd say no, but they should look great for a set of race wheels.

So these are the wheels you were talking about. I couldn't hear anything with the signal I had on my phone. Sure look awesome.

Those are great. Would love to see them with black lug nuts and center cap. Gee, they would look great on MY CAR... just in case you want to put me in your will, Will (not wishing anything bad, just staking my claim!!!)

Here you go, center caps but no lug nuts. I just pick these up.

I need black center caps for my Hayashis. Where did you get those? I've only been able to find the silver with green lettering that Hayashi sells now.

Those centercaps came with the rims, I have in gold and 2 in black, not sure why.

Will, I hope my wheels will come out as nice as yours.
Going to start working on them soon, the sun is coming out.

They remind me of my new favorite wheel... the Work Equip 01s. For my car I would paint the center black and likely continue that to the outside edges of the spoke, keeping the centers of the spoke gold. Are these hard to find, and expensive? What is the offset?

You know, I haven't touched the rest of the wheels since I got this one done. I think I've got another one ready for paint, and the other two still need to be stripped. I'd love to get them done and on the car for Solvang, but I don't think its going to happen. I would like to get some center caps for them though.
