Hi all. Wondering if anone knew what might happen if I put some solex 44's on my 1600? Is that too much carb for the engine?
New to the forum. Just got my 3rd roadster. Finally one that runs well.
Thanks, RE

44s are a bit overkill. There are a few out there with 40s on them. I think that even with the small chokes, you will be overcarbed with the 44s, but then again, I am no expert on them.

The bigger issue is getting them jetted to work.

40phh mikunis are rad on a 1600, although you never see them unless they are on a stroker. However, I think equal gains will be found on the R16 as putting a set of 44s on a U20. If you take the time to jet them correctly, they will be increadable for a R16. They sound good also.
