One of the last parts I have to sell off my dad's old box of 1969 Datsun 1600 Parts. The problem is, I'm not sure what this thing is....if it's a relay of sorts or what.

I'd appreciate it if someone could ID this part for me.

That looks like a Voltage Regulator maybe and aftermarket variety that someone used to replce the original one.

Goes on the passenger side of the engine compartment, and regulates the voltage from the Alternator to the rest of the electical system of the car.
