Pebble Beach

Post by silvertiger »

I just got back this afternoon from Carmel/Pebble Beach. For some reason I searched and looked all over could find a single Datsun Roadsters! :| Most Dtasun guys/gals would be out at the track. My enjoyment is going to Pebble seeing the ultra rare and one offs. The past 3 years I have nailed the winning car buy 10am.
When I dropped off in the closed road/no general public area to find 8 Bugatti Veyron's. 2 Super Sports, 6 Normal(if you can call a stock Veyron normal) 2 Grand Sports. The blue Bug has dark blue clear carbon fiber.
I did not take pictures of yet saw 2 Aston Martin Rapide's, 4 Mercedes SLS 2 the new Cabrio's. The no big thing Audi R8 V10 carbrio.
Once I hit the field it was a zoo! In all my years I don't recall seeing so many people. Plus the field was also larger by at last 20%. I am NOT a Ferrari guy by any means! There was some 20+ 60's GTO's lining the edge of the field closest to the water. The motorcycle display was pretty good. Nothing like Concorso Italiano where we are treated like the bastard stepchild. So I stopped taking the older Duc.
The truly beautiful car I had to stop for some time with was the 1934 Voison C-25 Aerodyne  It's the dark blue with the black/white wild/incredible interior!!!! :!: One of the shots shows the headliner. The roof is gear driven and slides back. Plus the back seat has 2 moon roofs. Now remember this Voisin is from the 30's! Voison was far ahead of his time. Just look him up and just shack you head. His engine design is still to this day more advanced then even today's engine's.
Next was the real Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. The red car with the beautiful belt line I don't recall.

On my way out I see this Lovely Bentley. Had to take a few shots(ok more then a few 12+). On the other side of the parking area was the blue carbon fiber Bug.

My feelings about the going to Pebble Beach is, Pebble Beach is a once in a life time event that you should do every year!

Enjoy Trevor

Forgot this one.

The 3 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé are owned buy one guy :smt005 :!: He just had the dark red one make special like the first 2. This time he was a carbon fiber dash/trim. Rolls has all ways used wood. The carbon is the same color as the car. The outside color was made after the red carbon came out.
The silver Alfa was just sitting on the corner of Ocean and Delores.

I did not have time to take a lot of pictures this time. Hope every one enjoys them.

After the car won

PS If some one would like to go next year let me know. I can more then likely get them in for free and with a shuttle.
