Cam Identification

Post by GrnMtnRoadster »

How can I tell if I have an "A" or a "B" cam?

The cam has the number 2 cast into it and the number 255 cast on the opposite side of the shaft. "Japan" is also cast onto the shaft but I suppose that goes without saying.

There does not appear to be any indication on the ends of the shaft as I have seen noted on other postings.

Thanks,

Dan

You should see an "A" or a "B" stamped on the very end of the nose of the cam.

Just to clarify, it's stamped on the rear of the cam.
