Just back from a good Canby Datsun show.
7 roadsters in the judging and 8 more in the parking area.
Great to meet Mark (datsunrides) from Hollister CA. Mark got first place roadster.
Mark's roadster is a fine car and all us NW roadster folks were impressed.
More pictures tomorrow.
Ted.

It was a great show, many of the cars in the parking lot were of showable quality as well. Tremendous variety and great people.
For me, the high point was the chance to meet and hang out with several of the knowledgeable people who frequent this forum.
Thanks guys, it was a pleasure meeting you.
Dan

I was there for a few hours on Sunday and ran into many members of the roadster community-- somehow I missed Mark, but I did see Ted, Leigh, Bill Cole, and many other 311s guys... I will post a few pics up when I get a chance to get them off of the camera.
And it rained hard on the way home... thankfully I brought my top!

Great to meet everyone and to talk roadsters for two days straight!
Ted got pictures of me doing a little "at-show maintenance" - rolling the fenders on Scraps - new wheels, spacers, volvo conversion and a slightly mis-aligned body forced me to make a little fix!

Leigh,
At least you didn't have to perform an impromptu engine replacement like one of the 620 Truck owners did !

14x6 Enkei Compes - they were gold with polished lip.
I finished polishing the rims and repainting at 1AM on Thursday night!

It was very delighted to meet the the roadster "experts". I learned a lots. Sorry that I had to hurry home to take care of the kids. Luckily, without a top, I got home 10 minutes and then it rained.

That turbo U20 is just so well done... my hats off to you! What kind of compression ratio is in that motor?

Ted, thanks for the pics of my car. It was a pleasure (except for the browbeating over the trailering thing

) meeting you. It was great meeting as many of you PNW guys as I did and putting faces to the names. I know I missed a few of you, but so many new friends, so many beautiful cars, and not enough time means it will have to wait for next year. Not purposely singling out anyone, but I would like to say this,
Victor, Loved the eye searing yellow car. Keep up the progress.
Paul, (not sure if he is on here) Excellent example of a beautifully restored 67.5 2000
Michael, Saw you drive in, but missed you while roaming around. As usual, beautiful car
Enrique, Missed out on you a couple times. Ted pointed you out, just got to yakkin' and by the time I got done, you had left. Loved the orange on the car.
All you other owners that were there, big thumbs up on your rides. I enjoyed checking out your handiwork. And any of you that voted for my car, I give you a big thanks. It was a nice surprise to get the award. Between the show line and the corral, there were some amazing cars and the fact I got 1st humbles me. Hopefully, I can see you guys again at Shasta.
Mark
