Hey Gang,
Anyone know if a hardtop and rollbar can be used simultaneously?
I've got a '69 I'm working on and am curious.

With a a stock roll bar a hard top/ soft top fits no problem. There are a few ou there that people have made and you might have problems with a custom one.

I can't fold my softtop down with the roll bar in. I have a low windshield roll bar and it does fit under the top just fine.

I have a factory bar in my 67.5 and I am able to put the soft top up and down, use the boot cover and install a hardtop with no problem. Keep in mind that the conventional wisdom is that the factory bar will only fit the high windshield cars. It just ain't so! It fits my car just fine, thank you!

I actually have a roll bar someone made that came out of a high windshield car ---and I can put the top up and down and use a boot cover too! I even have roll bar padding installed making it thicker than normal. There are so many home made bars out there your best bet is to try it out before you bolt it in. If it is a stock bar it should work just fine. Now finding a stock bar is probably not that easy to do. Mike Young has lots of roll bars but very few stock pieces. It is one of those hard to find pieces.

You should live over here in new york, the capital of global warming. It rains everyday during the summer. And snows everyday of the winter. I dont think i have even had the car cover off my roadster for more that 3 hours.
What a hoot!

Thanks for all of the feedback...you guys are just too funny! I live in the Seattle area, thus the need for a hardtop (in my view) is valid. I want to be able to "do" a rollbar, thus my question. Thanks all!
