I recently acquired a nice 69 roadster & am making my debut here. I don't know much about this site, but I'm hoping to gain some good info & share topics about these classic old sports cars. So, I'm from Kettle Falls, WA & am curious to know if there are any other roadster enthusiasts in the neighborhood. I hope to have some pics up soon, but as I'm tech challenged, it might take some time. Hope to hear from other "roadies" in the vicinity. Cheers! poppinfoos.

Here's a couple pics of my new ride. I traded this for a 69 Firebird in pretty good shape. Hated to see the bird go, but I'm really happy with my 1600. Twice the gas mileage, too.

Welcome! Nice looking car. You could sell those 66 Mustang hubcaps to a Mustang dork if you decide to get something more appropriate for the car...

Yes...Spring...can't get here soon enough. -10 this morning here; colder tomorrow. Good eye, spl310; although I like the hubcaps, they don't really go with the car. I'm thinking of some nice spoke caps, but for now these will have to do.

I got it locally. I posted my firebird on craigslist offering to trade for a roadster & the rest is history. Can't wait to start driving it. It does need a few things, mostly cosmetic. Like some decent hubcaps! Any offers? pop.

Not sure where Kettle Falls is but as mentioned there are many Roadster folks here in WA... but we are all in hybernation right now, or our cars are at least! Since I will be attending a wedding this year instead of the Mt Shasta run (darn it!) I hope to get some Roadster folks together to do a Washington based weekend run to see the sights. So, once you get used to the car and get some drive time, keep an eye out for that (I will post it here) and make any drive/tour/road suggestions and maybe we can properly surround you with Roadsters! There is nothing like the sound of 5-10 Roadsters driving together in formation... it's like a squadren of fighter planes as your exhaust note starts to oscilate with everyone elses... pretty cool!

There is also a local group, DROPS (Datsun Roadsters of Puget Sound) that has an active email posting. Unfortunately I am so used to just checking my email I can't remember the actual method of joining, but I'm sure someone will chime in soon...

Welcome! :smt006

Welcome to another East-sider. I'm in the big city of Colton,WA, just south of Pullman. I've restored a '69 2000. Just getting started on a '69 sr20 swap that will be my forever car. I've bought two others for parts/ pieces and have a pretty good stash of decent used parts. Let me know if I can help.

Pat Mahoney

p.s. Was that the car that has been on Craigslist in the Colville area?
