Hello From Central Florida

Allow me to introduce myself and my new 1967.5 1600. She's fresh from the shop with carbs, clutch, brakes and wiring all getting some attention. I bought it sight unseen off Ebay and hope non of you were victims of my last minute bids. Still to address new top and mods to give me a bit more leg room. I am 6'2" and barely fit, never mind work the pedals. I think a smaller aftermarket steering wheel might be the most immediate fix. As you can see there are a few missing items and non correct parts; but, nothing I can't live with for now. Air cleaner is on the way from datsun311 parts. I will be reporting after I finally get out for a drive. Link to more pictures:

Welcome! You are definitely at the right place. I had followed that sale on E-bay (not bidding, just curious) and even wrote to the seller to tell her what she had (she originally listed it as a 67).
She said she was a sudden widow and didn't know much about the car. It looked darn solid and had a lot of nice stuff done to it already. Enjoy the ride!

I too followed the car on ebay and if it were closer was going to bid on it. I love the paint scheme with the racing stripes. Welcome!!

I watched that one too.. cool car I like the look the PO was going for.. it is screaming for a pair of panasports or something other than stock caps, they seem out of place with the "race car theme"

Thanks for the welcome and comments. I found this forum right after I won the bid and have read about the whole thing. Awesome resource and community.

@notoptoy, the seller had relisted with proper description and unique features of the 1967.5 after your contact.

Update, I took the roll bar out and moved the seats back about 5 inches. Still going to need a smaller wheel to comfortably operate the pedals. I did get her out on about a 30 mile round trip, ran very good. I had it up to about 65 MPH for an extended stretch; handles very nice, although no twisty roads near here to test my reflexes. Oil pressure just under 40 psi, temp 185-190. Idles a little rough, tachometer and speedometer both bounce a bit. I'll put it on the list to fix. I've got a 40 mile route lined up for tomorrow.

Thanks all for the additional welcomes. I managed to get an 11.5 inch Grant Wheel installed; nice weather today, spent a couple of hours driving A1A and the Ormond Loop.

A picture from the weekend drive. I went with the low cost alternative for now as I am pouring a good bit more than I imagined into the car at present. I will get a nicer model when I redo the interior. Up next, new top.
