Howdy!!
I’m Fred Schroeder and live in Denison, Texas about 60 miles north of Dallas. I’ve lurked here for a good while and finally got around to joining. I’ve been on the Roadster Mailing List for years. Don’t know why it took so long to join up here.
I bought my ’70 2k back in ’73. I sold my first one (a ’69) when I went into the Army a year before. It has just over 70k miles on it. It sat in a garage for several years and I finally got it back on the road some years back. It’s been laid up recently because I was too tied up with things to change the timing chains. But it is ready to go back on the road as I type. The exhaust manifold was changed at the same time. The original was pretty well shot so I acquired a replacement and had it Jet Hot coated. That was a real joy to change out!
But all that’s needed now is insurance and tags and away we go. Of course it would have to be the dead of winter so my Roadster time will be rather limited until spring.
