Hello to the Forum,been lurking for a long while, intro time

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker for many years and a Roadster owner for the past 9 years. I'm not new to Datsun's - I still have my first car, a 1971 240Z that I've cherished for 24 years. I also have a 1971 240Z that I turned into a convertible, which I've had for 11 years now. My first Roadster was a '68 2.0L solex car that I had for about 3 years, but sold a few years ago. I also was fortunate enough to find and purchase SRL-00016, a 67.5 2.0L solex car. I've had this car for almost 9 years now. It's regestered on this and other forums. I started restoring it, but spacial issues has put this on hold for far longer than I care to admit. It's currently completely dismantled for a frame off restoration - the frame and all suspension components are cleaned and powdercoated, all hardware and mechanical bits are new - I just need the space to put it back together again. I'm fortunate enough to have collected several great cars over the years, it's to the point were my hobby has completely out grown my current garage space. I asure you, SRL-00016 will be back together again soon enough - it really deserves to be.

I'm looking forward to participating and being more active on this forum and welcome any and all advice on these great little cars that I'll be seeking.

Sweet! Welcome to the forum and thanks for the introduction. Best of luck w/ that project - I can't wait to start seeing some photos as your car goes back together. If you'd like to put it together in my Garage in Houston you're welcome to come down here for the winter

Welcome, I'm sure with the history you have, you will have a lot to contribute here!
We do need pictures, especially of such a low number car! I like pictures of cars in pieces, it makes me feel better about mine!!

Thanks for the welcome everyone, I'll see if I can get some pics up in the next little while - there really isn't all that much to see right now - mostly rubbermaid containers with '67.5' labelled on the outside.

James - I may take you up on your garage offer ... I'll start loading parts now, give me few day, you may get a knock on your garage door.

Welcome to the forum. I know I've met you a few times at Zedfest and the Glen. I'm the tall blonde guy. Next year Datsun/Nissan is the featured marque so you better get your roadster going by then. I will have my 67 there. Just have to get it running first also.
