Aloha from Hawaii!

Hey everybody, newbie here. Just got my first roadster last week, my father-in-law passed it on to me. 1968 Datsun 2000, in not so bad shape after all these years. I used to own a 74 260z, but sold it before I moved back home to hawaii in 2004. Ever since then I've been looking for my next datsun to own, and I was lucky enough to get a roadster this time.

Hope to soak in all the knowledge on these forums to keep my roadster running. No time for restoration yet (my 2 year old takes most of my time), just hoping to take a drive in it couple times a month.

I got a couple of pics, hope to get more up soon.

Welcome, that's a fine looking island Roadster. You have the right idea, drive it and enjoy it! A restoration can wait!

Wow! It must have lived in a controlled space much of it's life. Most all the older cars there are rust buckets.
Nice car!

Welcome. I would think job 1 is trying to prevent rust from the island climate. However if you go for a drive post a pic as Hawaii has some nice spots for a photo op. You didn't say which island, but they are all great.

Thanks everybody for the welcome and compliments.

Linda, I am on the island of Oahu, I live on the east side of Honolulu. And yes, preventing rust in this salt air is priority #1. So much so that my wife's car got bumped out of the garage for the datsun :D

Well I finally got to take her for a short little ride today, heres a couple of pics. Hoping to take a cruise around the island soon, and will get a lot of good pics of oahu on that ride to share.

The wire wheels are a nice touch, I hadn't seen those on a roadster before.
Looking Good!
