My name is Jeff and as of today i am the proud owner of a 1968 1600 Roadster. On a scale of 1 to 10 i would say the car in a 7 condition. No serious cancer plus it comes with a spare trans, extra front fenders, cover and top.It has a documented 42,00 miles and has the original 1968 plates with it.I am picking it up on Sat. and will post some pics then.

I am truely glad i found this site with the wealth of information.

Jeff

Jeff,

Welcome to the group. There are several members in Ohio. There is a good group here in the midwest. Let me know if you would like to be added to our email list. We try to get together for a few events each year. You came to the right place for all things Datsun Roadster. Have fun it!

Added! Let us know if and when you come back to the cheeseland. We also have a facebook page, which I have been really lazy about updating, but we have pics and events posted there. Just search Dairyland Datsuns.

You might want to update your location, it will help when asking for help. Also, add your car's info to your signature.

I don't think he is a forum member.I found the car on craigs list and went right away to snatch it up.The PO has had the car for about 7 yrs. and he had gotten it from a friend of his who was the original owner. As soon as i got in and started it up i knew that this was the one!!I own a small graphics company and i have already started making myself roadster t-shirts and hats!!!

The funny thing is...the morning before i saw the listing i caught the begining of the movie "The cars that ate Paris." When i saw it i said i have to have that car!!!Funny how things work out like that!

Welcome Jeff! Sounds like you got a good find there! That being said, if you are making shirts and hats, put them in the for sale section. Lots of the assorted nuts here will snap them up!

Welcome aboard Jeff, You landed on the best possible site for all things Datsun roadster. I dont know how many times I have seen the beginning of The Cars That Ate Paris. I watch it to see the roadster, then flip the channel to something else. Its not so fun to watch the car go off the road and crash. Such a waste

Welcome to the wonderful world of Datsun Roadsters. As a new owner you need to start to rehearse the phrase "no it is not an (MG, or Austin Healey) it really is a Datsun"

Welcome. You might have to sell a few hats and shirts to pay for parts, so might as well get started! Ha, ha. Seriously though, congrats on your car purchase and have fun.
