Hello from Ohio
My name is Jeff and as of today i am the proud owner of a 1968 1600 Roadster. On a scale of 1 to 10 i would say the car in a 7 condition. No serious cancer plus it comes with a spare trans, extra front fenders, cover and top.It has a documented 42,00 miles and has the original 1968 plates with it.I am picking it up on Sat. and will post some pics then.
I am truely glad i found this site with the wealth of information.

You might want to update your location, it will help when asking for help. Also, add your car's info to your signature.

Welcome to the group, your fun is about to start!
Of course we'll need pictures when you get it. Who did you buy from, anyone on the list?

Re: Hello from Ohio
I don't think he is a forum member.I found the car on craigs list and went right away to snatch it up.The PO has had the car for about 7 yrs. and he had gotten it from a friend of his who was the original owner. As soon as i got in and started it up i knew that this was the one!!I own a small graphics company and i have already started making myself roadster t-shirts and hats!!!
The funny thing is...the morning before i saw the listing i caught the begining of the movie "The cars that ate Paris." When i saw it i said i have to have that car!!!Funny how things work out like that!

Re: Hello from Ohio
Welcome Jeff! Sounds like you got a good find there! That being said, if you are making shirts and hats, put them in the for sale section. Lots of the assorted nuts here will snap them up!Fairlady Fan wrote:I own a small graphics company and i have already started making myself roadster t-shirts and hats!!!

Re: Hello from Ohio
Welcome aboard Jeff, You landed on the best possible site for all things Datsun roadster. I dont know how many times I have seen the beginning of The Cars That Ate Paris. I watch it to see the roadster, then flip the channel to something else. Its not so fun to watch the car go off the road and crash. Such a waste

Welcome to the wonderful world of Datsun Roadsters. As a new owner you need to start to rehearse the phrase "no it is not an (MG, or Austin Healey) it really is a Datsun"

Re: Hello from Ohio
Welcome. You might have to sell a few hats and shirts to pay for parts, so might as well get started! Ha, ha. Seriously though, congrats on your car purchase and have fun.
