Next issue is what to do about side marker lights. Did the 67.5 have side marker lights and if so which ones. My front fenders are not original and have holes for the rectangular lights. No holes for the rear side markers??
Big decision is do I weld up the front fender holes and go without side markers or do I install some??
I really appreciate all the advice. This is helping me a lot!!!!

If you've got rectangular front holes, you've got '70 fenders or some home-grown side marker holes. Front and rear 1967.5 should have NO side markers in the US.

I have seen 67.5 cars with front side marker lights. This was usually due to the car being hit at some point in its life or possibly just rusted out in the front. Body shops would use late model fenders as they were easier to come by at that time. (Now none of them are easy to come by).
67.5 cars had no side marker lights of any kind.

Japanese market cars began sporting front side marker lights with the 65 1500. They were the teardrop versions of the US market 1969 cars. They were on all of the roadsters destined for that market. In 1970, they got the square markers that we got as well...
US market cars did not get markers until 1969.
