Hello Gents!
I just yanked my 1966 1600 Roadster out of the barn for the first time in 30 years. I bought the roadster when I was in High School and drove the snot out of it clear through college, then retired it to the barn. Now it's in my shop 90% disassembled and I'm just about ready to be put it on the rotissarie. It needs a ton of sheet metal work. I'll add it to the registry when I get a chance. I'll be asking plenty of stupid questions so please be patient.

I'm sure everyone on here would like to know your location as well when you get a chance. And, no doubt, you'll be dunned for pictures, pictures, pictures. It doesn't matter what kind of shape your ride is in, everyone here likes to see the pics. And, some of the folk on here can pick up details from your pics that might help - it happened with me when Mark alerted on the 1500 grille on my '67 1600.
BTW, besides gents, there are knowledgeable ladies on here as well - right, Linda?

Welcome. Pics of the restoration process are helpful. As you may know there are many photo sharing sites like webshots.com where you can put your pics and then just provide a link here.
Otherwise good luck with your project.
Parts prices are a wee bit higher than 30 yrs ago.
Check out the WIKI section of the site to find info on parts and interchange parts.
Also, other owners nearby may be willing to lend a hand.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Steve, welcome to the forum. You are on the most informative website for Datsun roadsters. About the pics, someone alerted me to the fact that I have an ealier steering wheel on my 68 after seeing a pic when I was having horn issues, so posting pics can be a great benefit. I would never have known otherwise. And don't worry about the questions. Theres a bunch of nice folks on here that will bend over backwards to help you.
