That is an amazing bit of Roadster history, great “find” will it be put back on the track?

I may be in the area on the return trip. If I am, I'd like to meet you guys.

Very cool cars, RCMike! Drive safely. You are welcome to drop either of those off at my house in Florida, if you get tired of them.

Nice grab Mike, that is a very nice looking race car! Are you going to campaign it in SCCA events?

Not one, but two...

The black one leaves for California tomorrow.. Will be back for the street car in about 10 days..
That looks fun! Streetable?

I mean, what is streetable?

No headlights, turn signals, mufflers, windshield.. takes 110 leaded.. doesn't really run under 3krpm... 50mph first gear. Highly reclined fixed bucket with steel back..

Given the chance, I would gladly street it, on the right roads..

Westbound trip complete.. Unfortunately the truck has a sensor failure, Kevin checked the code and it needs EGT sensors before I go back. Since it is under warranty, it goes to the dealer Monday..

But the roadster got to enjoy some California sun today. It is sleeping in its new house tonight..

The trip west..

And yes, the plan is to get this car back on the track.. First we will check and refresh a lot of systems..

I took my 13 year old for a drive in the country today. She is completely in love with this wonderful car. She keeps asking me if she can drive it once she is old enough to drive. Funny thing is it was always my plan to give her the car, as long as she learns how to work on it and take care of it.

Why not just ship cars, unless you like the scenery?

Cool (mid 40's) Sunny early winter drive with RBMann to visit Pebbles. 12-7-2017. 126 miles.
Had to confirm Pebbles is actually working on his many years behind schedule SR20 Resto-mod project.
Found him muttering about the recent crappy body blasting. Did see some panels welded in and the new floor pans
from Sports Imports awaiting his attention. Some "Swiss cheese" to still be addressed.
Next year he retires and may finally have time to get it done before he gets too old to drive!
But for those of us who are retired the extra "time" never seems to appear as Parkinson's Law takes effect.
"Work expands to fill the time available for its completion".
