Took a ferry ride to a friend's house for the fireworks show and an overnight visit. Almost lost the roadster in the sea of really cars.

Took the Datsun down to Vancouver, WA for the Cruisin' the Gut event. The Datsun started over heating when I got there, so I parked it and put some water in it and let it cool down for a while. Some friendly guy down the street came down to make sure I was alright and told me he saw at least 3 other Roadsters earlier that day. After letting it cool down I cruised Main St. a couple times before going home. Didn't see any other fellow Roadsters though? :(

Got up before the sun.. Yesterday's fire made for a stunning sunrise..

Steve Millen brought the Le Mans class winning 300ZX..

My friend Will got to go at it on the track with Steve in a 3 rotor RX7..
Image

Track was awesome. Perfect 2nd and 3rd gear course. Just tickling the rev limiter in 3rd at the end of the straight..

Eventually the thunderstorms came in and we lost the track..

Packed up the car and headed home..

In the garage.. Car is tired..lol

Mike! Wow, Epic. I can't say enough how much I love the sound of your car. Better still is that you drive it-all the time- and everywhere! I think the picture in the rain is a a candidate for calendar pic - the essence of Roadster dedication, cruising with no top in the rain!

Car sounds GREAT. I remember going to watch Ron race there some moons ago. Lovely track and mostly visible from anywhere.

Love that you are enjoying the car! That one is really good looking!

Thanks for the smiles everyone.. It's just so fun to drive it's hard to not do it if it can at all make sense.. Tomorrow is supposed to be warm and dry, so I will put it out in the yard to dry out the interior..

Tim Sauyan posted a great picture today.

Taking a 3 day return home along the cooler Oregon coast
after the Mt Shasta Datsun Roadster Meet.
First up to the top of the Mt Shasta road at about 7800'.
Then West along the Klamath River to the coast.
Overnight in Gold Beach, Oregon.
From the 90's inland to 62 at the coast.
About 300 miles.

Beer run to Climbing Bines farm brewery on Seneca Lake - nice hot summer's day required some crisp and cold refreshment!
