Just drove mine around the neighborhood, which is good because it means my car is roadworthy again after a heater core replacement! :D

I took a drive over to Jasper, AR and met up with Butch (sleepyzzz). We visited a while and then headed over the mountain towards Ponca. This is in the middle of nowhere, but has some of Arkansas's best roads (you can check your taillights for about 15 miles on the Jasper/Ponca Hwy) and scenery. Stopped at a favorite spot where the elk come out in the evening but didn't see any. Of course after packing the camera in the trunk and heading home, we drove past a few out grazing. I will have the camera ready next time. It won't be long till the leaves start changing and the colors get really nice for fall pictures. I will have the bugs removed from the grill next time!!!!

Mine is the 66. I spent the weekend finishing the interior and installing a cruise control. Butch put in another windshield.

How do you think that 66 would look in primer black?

Bob's roadster is looking great. i love his interior, especially the seats. and his paint job turned out nice also. enjoyed the time with you and your wife. we had a good drive. i live just 18 miles from Jasper, so i run these roads every day.

Boxley valley is a must if any of you ever get over this way. would love to try and get a group together maybe one weekend, if there was enough interest.

cool weather and fall colors are not too far off.

Well, I drove mine to work on Friday. Does that count as the weekend? Looks like I will have to drive it to work again this week. Got to have a pre-cat installed on the red Mini. Hope I can get out of replacing all the front portion of exhaust at 1400 bucks!!

Thanks Alvin!!!

I like it myself, but as Sid mentioned, I also like flat black (primer black).

I just have to color sand and buff now!! I thought it turned out pretty good until I parked next to Sleepyzzz.

Walter,
Friday definitely counts for the weekend!!

Where in NE Texas are you? I am thinking of driving the roadster to job site this week (Nacogdoches, TX)

Just did a small run to see how the 1500 rides.
It's a 64 1500.
Brakes are bad and the exhaust must be replaced.
But when you turn the key the engine runs right away.

Wasn't exactly the weekend, but I did put 985 miles on her in 3 days this week. I drove south from Fayetteville, AR to Nacogdoches, TX, next day drover over to Tenaha, TX and then over into Louisiana and back up through central Arkansas. I stopped at Moms and took her out to eat and a ride in the roadster, then back home. She ran good and averaged 27.2 mpg. I few things popped up that I will work on this weekend. Does that count as a weekend and DRIVE?

To paraphrase Jimmy Buffett, "It's a weekend somewhere"---
Nice drive. How did your Mom like the ride? I bet she was giggling like a schoolgirl..

Linda
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Bob:
It counts as it is definitely proof of very high quality, intimate time, with an inanimate object!
