Alvin, yes I did. I regretted selling it 16 months ago and I was looking for a replacement. I was told by a few people that it was for sale on ebay. It was my hobby for 4 years. I spent lots of time restoring it. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get it back where it belonged (in my garage). I thought that since I know the car, I wouldn't be in for any surprises that I might have if I purchased someone else's. I've got my baby back and I couldn't be happier. Many, many years ago, I got rid of my baseball cards and comic books. Never again to see them. I regret it to this day. I wasn't going to make the same mistake again.

Howard,
Where did you find those wheels? I have been looking for a set of those for 4 years now and still haven't located a set.

Mike, the wheels came with the car when I first purchased it in 2004. I was looking for the same wheel as a spare. I recall that Gerardo had 3 of them, and Stan had a set. You might try contacting them.

Weekend before last, 7/10, Sid was in the area picking up his truck and dropped in for a visit. I took him out for a drive on some scenic Arkansas highways and tried to go get some BBQ down in Ozark, but it was closed. We spent about 5 hours in the roadster running Hwy 23, aka "Pigtail Trail", and back up hwy 71!

I then put him to work getting him to help me dismantle #218. We had so much fun driving in the mountains, we forgot to take pictures, but here is Sid and myself just after getting the body off the frame on Sunday, 7/11.

Well I've purchased parts from both of you, so it's nice to see faces!
So next time I buy parts, does the labor come with?!!
That I can dig! You are both welcome in NC anytime, I'm sure I can dig up a project or two!!

Hey, I am always open to wrenching on a Roadster. I even improvise parts from time to time (like the New York State license plate heat shield I made at the Glen one year..)

Winston-Salem, eh? How far is that from the Nahunta Pork Center?

Hang on I gotta look that one up. Easy enough to say about a hour north of Charlotte and 7 hours from Northern Jacksonville!

You are about 2 hours 45 minutes from the main store and only about an hour 50 from the outlet. Outstanding barbeque, country ham, cracklins and more...

So I never heard of the place, but the outlet in Raleigh is much closer! What is the draw and how do you know of this place? For barbecue around here, we go to Lexington, about 45 minutes south.

They have the worlds largest pork display. Any pork product you can imagine, they have it. My grandfather lived in Fayetteville, and would drive over to them to get country sausage. Just plain good eats!

Did a Seafoam fun run today. I used the Seafoam in the intake, and got some smoke this time. So after the recent Colortune session and then the Seafoam I decided to see how everything would run.
So far, so good, car is running better than ever.
Here's the route, with some twisties and some highway. Beautiful day for a drive.
Oops, dang link not working , will add if I can get it to work....

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Mine was less fun. 50 ft out of the driveway to get the pickup out, then back in and put the cover on. Might go to the local cruise night tomorrow.
