Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
I DROVE about 270 miles this weekend
Calero Reservoir
Visited the shop to get the car up on the lift:
Spotted an Alpine on HW 17:
Parked next to this Ferrari at Home Despot. The owner just walked up as I snapping...turns out he's actually cool! I asked him if he drove it in the rain and he replied, "oh of course, it's got windshield wipers and a defroster!"
I love driving this thing!

@ Alvin. nice photos and thanks again for forcing me to use my mouse. Good for hand eye and mental coordination.
I must admit I am envious of the lift you have at your disposal! And of course the car is nice to see too.

Just a jaunt around the neighborhood to make sure everything is in good shape mid-winter. 5 miles at 15 degrees. I did keep the top up while driving.

While I hate hardtops, if I had one that looks as good as Alvin's I think I would drive with it on as much as he does.

Greg, you don't need a top when you live in dry moderate Puget Sound unless you've got the optional AC and you are trying to keep real cool!Gregs672000 wrote:While I hate hardtops, if I had one that looks as good as Alvin's I think I would drive with it on as much as he does.

That's why she's not my daily driver! When I lived in So Cal I had a no soft top and had to put on the paint destroying hard top when it rained, which was almost never. I hate soft tops as well, so now I have a bikini! But Alvin's is just sooooo nice, it really enhances the car. I would run one of those, but only when I had to!garth wrote:Greg, you don't need a top when you live in dry moderate Puget Sound unless you've got the optional AC and you are trying to keep real cool!Gregs672000 wrote:While I hate hardtops, if I had one that looks as good as Alvin's I think I would drive with it on as much as he does.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
I've been driving up/down the San Gabriel Mts all week, as driving will be out of the question after Monday when I have one of two Rotator Cuff surgeries. Bummer. Another bummer as mudslides have limited access to some of the nicer spots up Angeles Crest, and Crystal Lake.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Woke up early so I jumped in the Roadster and headed to the donut shop in HB where I bumped into Fergus and a parking lot full of cars with "non-stock" drive trains. There were several different Porsche's with small block Chevy's including a 914 with a 350 and a 930 with an LS3. Was also surprised to find a very modified L210 with a 302 Ford and a Tremec 5 speed. The MG next to my car had a 2.8 Chevy V-6 that was not the cleanest install but did sound pretty awesome when he pulled in.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
No pics, but I too took advantage of the sunny but chilly weather and took the Roadster out to run errands. Man, that cam timing adjustment sure made a difference! Didn't want to put her away, so looking forward to summer!

hmmm...I like the way it looked before. I'm sure it drives better but typically I've seen/run 185/60/14. Did they make a 185/55/14?msampsel wrote:Well here are some new photos from 6000 ft in So AZ, it's a weekend today.
